DR. TOINE TEN BROEKE

My name is Toine ten Broeke. I am a broadly skilled life-science professional specialised in cell biology and immunology, eager to explore new challenges in combining current research with bachelor education. In this regard, I am currently an assistant professor focussing on the concept of research-based teaching performed within the Bachelor Research Hub. Here, I coordinate and perform ongoing Faculty research while transferring academic research skills to students from Biomedical Sciences and Medicine. This provides an opportunity for bachelor students to experience real academic research in an early phase of their career. My working history includes a strong basis of technical skills obtained during his early working years as a research technician followed by further academic development through a PhD and postdoctoral track at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Utrecht University) and the University Medical Center in Utrecht.
